Blowin’ In The Wind – An evening of songs of revolution which contributed to cultural change will be mounted on Friday 23 May at Her Majesty’s Theatre from 7.30pm, to again celebrate local talent and Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame recipients – influential singer-songwriters – Bob Dylan (Harry Baulderstone), Johnny Cash (Matt Birse) and Joan Baez (Kat Caton).
Throughout his 60-year career, Bob Dylan has set the standard for inspired lyrics by infusing poetry, folk and rock in more than 600 songs. Most recently, he gave his blessing after a table read as himself, for the just released biopic, A Complete Unknown starring Timothée Chalamet.
From Hard Rain’s A Gonna Fall to Maggie’s Farm, the Blowin’ In The Wind set list is perfect for Harry Baulderstone, who has built a career on indie-folk covering the catalogues of Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and the Everly Brothers.
Matt Birse is a multi-talented tribute artist and as “The Man in Black”, channels the spirit of Johnny Cash, captivating audiences through his stage presence, unique voice and musicianship covering a diverse range of songs from Gospel to Rockabilly.
Matt emulates the Cash attributes through those signature tunes and has also garnered global recognition and many awards over his 20-year career as Elvis Presley.
Kat Caton brings her infectious energy and passion for solo performance to the Joan Baez set, engaging the audience with her ability to blend believable Folk, Pop and Gospel.

The Travelling Wilburys – Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne are all individual Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame recipients.
Band members Quinton Dunne and Stuart Day unite with Kat and Harry in celebration of the roots-rock legends, who collaborated and become perhaps “the biggest supergroup of all time”.

Good Morning Vietnam – Music from the Vietnam War Era brings the soundtrack to one of the most divisive conflicts, where the music of the 60’s and 70’s was used as a weapon of peace to apply pressure on the American Government, in an effort to cease involvement in the Vietnam War.
For those on the front lines until the fall of Saigon in 1975, these songs were indelible and provided a release from the isolation and uncertainty they felt in hostile environments, far away from the political turmoil and protests back home.
This concert is a commemoration of an era and transcends emotions through an anthemic set list from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Three Dog Night, Tina Turner, The Animals, Janis Joplin, The Doors and so much more.
Musical Director and guitarist Simon Gardner shares the stage with Shaleena Bain, Chris Herden, Tommy Hynes and Terry Million and says:
“The rock music created during the Vietnam War period was ground breaking in that it reflected immense unrest as well as the greatest powers of all – peace and love. I absolutely love playing these songs and view this show as an opportunity to honour and pay tribute to those involved.”
Don’t miss Good Morning Vietnam – Music from the Vietnam War Era featuring the music that shaped an era and defined a generation with psychedelic pop, soul, folk and stirring rock anthems from the 60’s and 70’s.
