celebrates two of the most influential country music superstars with Courtney Conway as Patsy Cline and Kim Wright as Hank Williams, at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Sunday
17 October from 3pm.
This two-hour spectacular takes you back to the Grand Ole Opry in a “concert that never was”, as it brings to the stage the much-loved hits of two icons, who never actually appeared together.
Courtney Conway is bursting with charm, classically trained for piano and multi awarded. Her first love is country music and her debut release, 21 Days, recorded in Nashville, reached a Top 10 spot on the ARIA Country Albums Chart.
She has toured nationally in the title role of Always … Patsy Cline and as June Carter in Johnny Cash – The Concert Tour. Courtney says:
“I adore Patsy Cline and feel a strong connection to the emotions in her songs which were some of the first to bridge country with pop. I am thrilled to be performing from her catalogue and sharing the stage with Kim.”
Charismatic Kim Wright treasures the heritage and authenticity of the country music pioneers, especially Hank Williams, who he regards as an inspirational musical and spoken word storyteller.
He has been singing his hero from an early age and his recording career as an aspiring singer-songwriter, kicked off with the #2 spot on the iTunes chart, when his debut EP Livin’ The Dream’ was released in 2019.
Kim says: I grew up with the 6-time Grammy Award winner Hank Williams and felt the pain and joy in his lyrics. I rode the rails through the spectrum of emotions with him and am so looking forward to being a part of this show.”
You’d be Crazy to miss these two as they channel Patsy Cline and Hank Williams in TOGETHER AT LAST, with Musical Director Quinton Dunne and the Kentucky Blue Band, plus a sensational set list of nostalgic mega-hits and memories –
